Hillsboro Wisconsin went very well for the Fully Loaded Team. We ended up finishing third place for both the Friday and Saturday sessions! The weather was pretty wet for most of the time in Hillsboro and in fact the later part of the Friday session was cancelled due to rain. But Don Slama and his awesome track crew lead by James Slama managed to get everyone who didn’t run Friday, into the the two sessions on Saturday afternoon and evening, and made really good tracks for us to compete on!
If you haven’t had a chance to experience the Hillsboro Charity Pull in Hillsboro, Wisconsin I would encourage you to do so. It has turned out to be an awesome facility and has a ton of room in the pits for spectator viewing and public TV/Camping sites available! The town of Hillsboro and the Slama Family have built an awesome venue that is jam packed with pulling vehicles, displays from various pulling related vendors, T-shirt/souvenir trailers, and tons of pulling action!
New for this year at the Hillsboro Charity Pull, were custom event belt buckles that could be won! In order to win one of these awesome buckles, the combined distance of the two sessions that each puller makes, would be added together. The puller who has the greatest overall distance for both sessions will be the recipient of the awesome buckle! Check it out below!
We were close to winning the buckle, however Jeff Hirt in Fast Lane won the buckle for this year. Congratulations Jeff!
Also while we at the Hillsboro Charity Pull, Hillsboro Equipment donated a John Deere X330 lawn mower! Each puller’s name was put into a bucket and one name was drawn to win this awesome lawn mower.
Our team was drawn as the winner! Special thanks to Hillsboro Equipment for donating this mower! Thank you!
Our team left Hillsboro, Wisconsin with a 12pt lead over Taking Care of Business driven by Aaron Hull. Not a very big lead with four pulls left to go to wrap up the ’16 PPL season! Can we hold on to the lead and win the Lucas Oil Champions Tour National Points Title? Stay tuned to see!
