Hamburg, NY bad and good for the Fully Loaded Team.

The Fully Loaded Team had a tough time at Thursday evenings session at Hamburg NY. The motor was running great, sounding awesome, and then the burst panel blew in the intake manifold.

This obviously caused the tractor to shut down, however we were still able to obtain a sixth place finish! However, our close competitor, Taking Care of Business driven by Aaron Hull, took the win that night. This decreased our points lead tremendously as we entered the session with a 12 point lead to now, only a 4 point lead after session one in Hamburg Lucas Oil Thursday session.

The Friday session turned out to be a big improvement on performance as the team was able to fix the burst panel problem and obtain a third place podium finish!

However, Taking Care of Business was directly behind us as Aaron Hull was able to obtain a fourth place finish. We are now only six points away from second place, but still hanging on to the number one spot on the Lucas Oil Champions Tour Unlimited Alcohol Super Stock Class!

However, Friday’s session left its mark on the Fully Loaded motor. A burnt piston was discovered on the number 4 cylinder.

With some speedy work from the Fully Loaded crew and Riverside Engines in Tiffin Ohio, our engine builder, we were able to get the motor freshened back up in no time! Thanks to Phil Schalk, Austin and Mom for all of their help!

Next pull is a Grand National NTPA event in Wellington, Ohio! Should be interesting to see how the Fully Loaded competes, as this is the final Open Super Stock Class event for the season for the NTPA Tractors. They all ought to have the “super tune” in them!
